SEEKHO

Privacy notice

Under India’s DPDP Act, 2023Last updated 22 October 2026Governed by the laws of India

SEEKHO is run by Arush Karnatak, an individual in India. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, that makes me the “data fiduciary”: the person responsible for your data. Questions, requests or complaints go to arushkarnatak1881@gmail.com.

The short version: SEEKHO stores only what it needs to build and keep your plan, sells nothing, shows no ads, and you can erase everything yourself at any time.

1. What SEEKHO stores

When you build a plan, SEEKHO creates a guest account for you: a random ID kept in a cookie in your browser. No name or email is needed. Tied to that ID, it stores:

  • Your answers on the plan form: interview date, study hours, how well you rate yourself in each area, and an optional target company.
  • The plans and boards you create, and the library cards and goals you add to them.
  • Your progress on each step: whether you’ve started, finished or skipped it, the self-check items you ticked, how it went (Again / Hard / Good / Easy) and any notes you write.
  • A log of which steps you open, finish or skip, and when, and of the days you visit (one entry per day, not each page). It shows whether SEEKHO actually helps people keep going.
  • That you confirmed you’re 18 or older, and when.

If you save your account by signing in with GitHub, X or Discord, SEEKHO also stores the email address, public name and profile picture that the service you chose shares when you sign in. SEEKHO has no passwords and takes no payments.

If you ask for early access to the practice room, SEEKHO stores the email address you give and when you gave it, with no account needed. It’s used only to let you in or to tell you when the room opens to everyone, never for marketing, and it’s deleted once the room is open to everyone. To have it removed sooner, write to arushkarnatak1881@gmail.com.

If you send feedback, SEEKHO stores what you wrote, the kind you picked, the page you came from, the company you asked for, and your email only if you add one to get a reply. It’s read only by me, never published, and kept until it’s been dealt with; write to arushkarnatak1881@gmail.com to have yours removed.

2. What’s collected automatically

  • Like every website, the servers that deliver SEEKHO see your IP address and basic request details, and keep short-term logs for security and debugging.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure how fast pages load. They use no cookies and don’t follow you across other sites.

3. Why

  • To build your plan, keep your progress and show it back to you (the reason you’re here).
  • To sign you in, if you save your account.
  • To keep SEEKHO secure and working.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which parts help people prepare.

SEEKHO doesn’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it beyond the services below.

4. Who processes it

A few companies run parts of SEEKHO for me, and only handle your data to do that job:

  • Supabase: the database and sign-in. Your data is stored on its servers in Tokyo, Japan. Supabase’s privacy policy
  • Vercel: hosts the website, and provides the analytics above. Vercel’s privacy policy
  • GitHub, X or Discord, only if you choose to sign in with them: they confirm who you are and share your email address, public name and profile picture with SEEKHO. Their own privacy policies apply to your accounts there.

The study resources SEEKHO links to are on other websites. Opening one takes you there, and their privacy policies apply. SEEKHO adds utm_source=seekho to those links so the authors can see visits came from here.

5. Cookies and browser storage

  • A sign-in cookie that keeps your guest or saved account connected. SEEKHO can’t work without it.
  • Your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser’s local storage.
  • If you choose “Not now” on the “Keep your plan” card, a small cookie remembers that for two weeks, so the card stays hidden.

Nothing else: no advertising or tracking cookies.

6. How long it’s kept

Until you delete your account. Deleting it erases your plans, progress, goals and account from SEEKHO’s database straight away; routine backups kept by the database provider may hold copies for a short time before they expire. Server logs are kept for a short period by Vercel and Supabase.

A guest account lives only in the browser where you made it. If you clear that browser’s data, you lose access to it, so save your account (with GitHub, X or Discord) to keep it.

7. Your rights

  • Erase your data: “Delete my account” on your account page removes everything, instantly.
  • See or correct your data: almost all of it is visible and editable in SEEKHO itself. For a copy of everything, or anything else, write to arushkarnatak1881@gmail.com.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or can’t, by writing to the same address.
  • Complain: write to arushkarnatak1881@gmail.com first. If you’re not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Age

SEEKHO is for people aged 18 and over, and asks you to confirm that before storing anything.

9. AI: the practice room

The practice room, open to invited testers only for now, is the one part of SEEKHO that uses AI. You talk an engineering problem through with four AI colleagues, and get a scorecard on what you said.

  • While you hold the microphone, your voice is recorded and sent to Sarvam AI, in India, to turn it into text (Sarvam’s privacy policy). SEEKHO doesn’t keep the recording. You can type instead.
  • Your colleagues’ lines are turned into speech by Cartesia. Only their words are sent, never yours (Cartesia’s privacy policy).
  • The text of the conversation is sent through OpenRouter to Anthropic’s Claude, to write your colleagues’ replies and your scorecard (OpenRouter’s and Anthropic’s privacy policies).
  • If you create your own room, the topic you type, and anything you write under “Your world” about your company or stack, is sent the same way, to write the room, and isn’t kept. Don’t put anything confidential there. If you then rate the room, SEEKHO keeps its title and your rating with your account, to find the topics that work badly.
  • Only what you say is graded, never how you sound: no tone, pitch or emotion is analysed.
  • SEEKHO stores none of the conversation. The transcript and scorecard exist only in your open page, and are gone when you close it, unless you download them: the file is made in your browser and saved on your device, never sent to SEEKHO.
  • To apply the daily session limit, SEEKHO records when you start a session and which room it was (“custom” for one you created), with your account. Nothing you said is in that record. It’s deleted with your account.

Before the room opens to everyone, this section will be updated and you’ll be asked to agree to it first.

10. Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes. Significant changes will also be shown in SEEKHO before they take effect.
